WHAT IS CHRISTIAN LOVE?
The most popular and detailed description of Christian [biblical] love comes from the first letter of Paul to the Corinthians:

What is evil? What is sin? When what we do is immoral

DEFINITIONS 
Evil can simply be defined as that which is immoral. Evil is diametrically opposed to good. Sin can function as either a noun and a verb, and can thus be defined as “that which is evil (noun)” or “to commit an immoral act [evil] (verb).”

GOD IS GOOD. GOD IS LOVE. LOVE IS GOOD. TO DO GOOD, LOVE LIKE GOD (CHRIST)
Scripture states that God is good (1 Chronicles 16:34; Psalm 106:1; Luke 18:19). Furthermore, God is love (1 John 4:8). Subsequently, for any of us to love as biblically defined requires that we know God (1 John 4:7). And when we recognize that our triune God exemplifies perfect relationship, it becomes clear why Christ states the following to be the greatest of God’s commandments:

THE IMPORTANCE OF CHRIST CRUCIFIED
Christ’s resurrection is the basis for Christianity. The fact that Jesus overcomes death on a cross—and conquers sin and death—is what imparts credibility to His claim as the Son of God (John 5:19; Hebrews 1:4-6). As Paul says to the church in Corinth, “if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is in vain and your faith is in vain” (1 Corinthians 15:14, ESV). And why did Christ allow Himself to be crucified?
